Well, well, well.... Deep Subject! :)
Hope y'all like the "New and Improved" site! Been spending a bit of time on it -
needless to say - with only over 200 pages and growing, just keeping it current
(kind of:) is a job unto itself. But since I have had the time - and it really
really needed it - thought it was 'bout time. Much of what you have been viewing
since the site was started is just that - stuff that's been there since it
started! Not exactly the best for every browser to see, I must say! :)
So, I took all the intestinal fortitude I could find and dove into what turned out
to be so-oo-oo much more of a project than I could have possibly anticipated! But,
I think the time was worth it - for the nearly 80,000 visitors who have been here!
And who knows how many more to come! I am constantly amazed when I see the newest
number on the counter! Makes me feel good and makes it all worth while! Unless, of
course, there has just been one really big "fan" who's been sitting at the main page
and hitting the reset button - 75,000 times! :)
Some features have been removed and some have been modified to give the site a little
more continuity. I've added a couple things too. Like the GD Fun pages. That's one I
hope you all can enjoy. I removed the celebrities section. Near as I can tell, many of
the E-Mail addresses were defunct. I changed the "Enough is Enough" section to
reflect a "kinder and gentler" environment. Of course, then I start getting a bunch
of new stories for it (after a year of nearly nothing - no less :). So, it has been
transformed into Personal Stories! So, there are several new ones to read!
If you want to see a list of the pages and sections, go to the "Site Index" page. Look
for the "Updated" thingy and just browse around! :) Anyway ~ I hope you find the site
easier to load and easier to view.
I have not been the best of an e-mail answerer (Is there such a woid? :) I've been
getting a lot of mail where people have been, again, asking for medical-type opinion.
No can do. If you need someone's advice, there are so many newsgroups and other
places to get some great information. One person's opinion (especially mine!) is
not going to get you what you really need - Diversified answers so you can choose
what's best to suit your situation! So, please ~ don't ask me for that type of input.
All it does is make me feel bad that I can't help! Shee? :)
And now on to my personal junk... Where did I leave off?... Be right back. Have to go
look at last month's updates to see what I wrote (Well, I'm not no Einstein, ya know! :)
OK... OK... OK... Broken furnace - job (or no job) stuff - cold and flu - medication -
frustration - and - ptpth~ ptpth` ptpth~ Yeah, I remember now! :)
OK... OK... Hey! I never promised anyone I wasn't some kind of nut! :) Anyway - The
furnace is fixed - that would be after it broke down again when the outside temp was
hovering in the single digits that whole week! Turned out that what it needed was
some line antifreeze! Yep! Could have saved all that freezing suffering for only a
dollar three eighty!
Went on lots more interviews, but the jobs just weren't happening - at least the ones I
would have liked! I even got to a point, again, of getting near panic attacks going to
all these interviews - especially in the weather we've been having (stormy, freezing
rain stuff, 59" of snow in 3 1/3 weeks) And everything was in Syracuse! That's a 35 to
45 minute drive - one way! No sir! didn't like it! And there hadn't been much of
anything local available in some time. Anyhoo - I finally sat myself down and had a long
talk. I said, "Self! You are not doing something right!" I had to agree! So, I made the
decision that this temp thing wasn't going to work and as soon as I did that, a whole
bunch of local jobs became available. When I say local, I mean like 2 to 10 minutes
from my door! I got hired for one, and actually had to put that one off for a couple
days to wait on an answer from another one! Neat-O, huh? I think so! So the
no-money-worry thing should now be a thing of the past - well, soon anyway! :)
Emotionally, I've been a wreck! But I'm hoping that with the no-money thing out of the
way, and the winter being on the down side, the pressure will ease up. Not to mention
that having some money will let me find a new endo who might be able to figure out
why the same dose of Synthroid, Your Artificial Friend, has made me both hypo and
hyper! And with that (or something else - who knows? :) perhaps I can get my bod
working better! Hell, there's nothing like feeling way too fat for your skin! And I
ain't eatin' any differently than I did before! My activity level is about the same
too. To put it delicately, this fat thing is getting on my nerves and making me just
a tad upset! To put it in my words, It Sucks! :)
So, with that - I'll be on my way. Not exactly sure where I'm going.?. Sure hope it's
someplace warm and relaxing! :) Til next time.... Sue Rose :)
