So, Lo! And Behold! I was looking through what has now turned into monthly updates, and
realized that this site is about to have it's one-year anniversary! And to my shame, I
have prepared nothing for this upcoming event! Well, since I am not prepared, and since
I'm not sure whether the anniversary date should be the one of my very first update
(March 28, 1997) or the one where I first figured out how to get "My War" uploaded
to the Internet (April 30, 1997) , I will choose a date somewhere in the middle because
it gives me more time to do something "smashing" :) Since I started working again, I
haven't had much time to do regular things none the less try to do something that
requires the actual use of my brain! :) Thus, I will be working to put something
together for this 1st anniversary, if for no other reason than to celebrate the fact
that this past year is fracking over! :)
I still seem to be doing very well, - knocketh on wood! :) My energy levels feel fairly
normal for someone of my "tenure" working 9 hour days with a bod that has yet to fully
recoup. In other words, I get tired like the majority of the baby-boom population! :)
The only thing that seems to be a nagging annoyance is that I am again having trouble
staying asleep at night. Lots of changes and stress can cause this, but I'm having a
panel done this week just to make sure. I'm over due, but since I'm now self-pay on
everything, that's how it goes. If I weren't feeling good, though, I would stay on
schedule regardless. Will let you know how that turns out.
I started working 7 weeks ago, and in that time, I have lost 17 pounds. Being able to be
active again has seemed to help my metabolism regulate itself somewhat. Though you have
to realize that since the end of summer when my metabolism took a total nose dive and I
had been keeping track of my weight loss at that time, I'd put weight on again. So this
17 pounds is "clocked" from that additional weight. Yet it is 5 pounds less than before,
so I'm still ahead. Anyway... svelte I'm not at 194 - but then I've never been
particularly petite ever anyhoo! :) Though I do have a ways to go to reach my
comfortable weight again.
So, since there isn't much else to tell you at this point, I'll be signing off :) until
next time. Love from me to you! Sue Rose
