Valerie has Graves' Disease. She's a 51 year old single mom with, as she knows best, "two absolutely fantastic sons." She's 5'3" tall and weighs 130 pounds. In June of 1996, she weighed 218 pounds! To that I say a very special "WoW!" :) She is a tride and true Graves' Disease Warrior and in becoming one, has become a warrior for others with this disease. She believes that together we can make a difference. She says, "Remember the word synergy: the sum of the parts is greater than the whole." I believe she's very right! I also believe that she will be able to open our minds to new ideas! I am certain she will be an inspiration for us all!
